In this course, you will explore key concepts in statistics and sampling whilst being walked through a worked example.

What you will learn

The worked example in the course shows how to calculate the sample size when performing tests designed to prove that the charges presented to customers are accurate with a high level of confidence. However, the same principles can be applied to many other scenarios where assurance practitioners take a sample of test results and want to know the relationship between the size of the sample and the reliability of the conclusions drawn.
The following topics will be covered:

Topic 1: Describing an Assurance Challenge Mathematically
Topic 2: Statistical Confidence
Topic 3: The Initial Question and Answer
Topic 4: Performing Calculations
Topic 5: Choosing the Decision Threshold
